1) Katy, Texas at Holiday on the Plaza and Christmas Tree Lighting

The official lighting of the city of Katy’s Christmas tree, photos with Santa Claus, children’s activity booths, and local entertainment. The Christmas tree will be lit at 7

Celebrate the holidays with KCAM and enjoy the sounds of DJ Facze of Karaoke with Friends. Get your photo taken with Santa Claus for free. Santa will sit from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm.

2) Houston, Texas. Mayor’s Holiday Celebration and Tree Lighting.
Friday, December 6, 2013 6:00 pm.

Ring in the season with the Mayor’s Holiday Celebration and Tree Lighting Presented by Reliant on Friday, December 6, 2013 in the heart of downtown Houston. The spectacular event is a holiday tradition of music, Santa, and family fun, with fireworks by Southwest Airlines. A towering Holiday Tree, glowing with energy efficient LED (light-emitting diode) lights, shimmering ornaments and a stunning star topper will light up the streets of downtown Houston this holiday season. The event is free and open to the public.
